our man/woman of the year profile is one of the biggest open secrets in the newsroom.
this year i had the good fortune of being the photographer and i say it that way because our pick is an amazing person full circle. if there are any kinks in his armor i couldn't find 'em. and i think my IQ may have gone up a few points just by osmosis.
and ever since i saw matt mallams supercool overexposed photo a few months ago i've been keeping my eye open for any opportunity to honor his unique vision with the sincerest of flattery.
